In todays modern world, Two Factor Authentication is much needed to safeguard our all online based accounts. Whether it is an email or social media or storage or whatever it is there some intruders who want to access our data by logging in to our accounts. For that OTP(One Time Password) has been introduced but that 's also easily hacked now. Still many banks are using OTP for transactions which will send a one time passcode to our mobile number through SMS. Once we enter the correct code within 30 seconds then only the transaction will be processed.

Two Factor Authentication is one step ahead than this OTP. It also send a code to the user but after we entered the password. There are so many companies which offers this features. Out of that Microsoft and Google have also provides this service by a dedicated app to Android and iOS devices. By using this single app you can add multiple accounts to safeguard it from unauthorized access to our accounts.

Microsoft Authenticator Beta app enables the device default app lock to add one more security to the its authenticator app in the latest app

  • To better protect Authenticator, App Lock is now enabled by default if you have a device pattern, PIN, or biometric gesture set up on your device
